soccer   Who we are
Little Cupcake Bakeshop was established in Brooklyn, NY on July 23rd, 2005. Owned and
operated by four brothers from Brooklyn, we specialize in baking wholesome traditional
American desserts, using only the freshest, sustainable ingredients, predominately sourcing
locally, from farms in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, Vermont, New Jersey, and in
strides, seasonally, with all baking done in small batches on-site, everyday. Our milk is
from grass-fed cows. Our espresso bars serve organic teas and illy caffe. Each LCB store
is a green architectural design. We’re active in supporting local community groups, and
sustainable development initiatives at the local, national and international level.

What we've done

Since our inception, LCB's goal has been to reinvent the bakeshop. Our products often make waves in the media as best in its class and we
have developed several important partnerships along the way. In 2007, one of LCB's owners was chosen by Al Gore's climate project. He was
personally trained by the Vice President himself to be a certified climate lecturer.

The Wall Street Journal noted LCB as the world's first carbon neutral bakery. Following the success of our first shop in Brooklyn, in 2010, we opened our
second flagship location in Nolita, on the corner of Prince and Mott. Our cakes and cheesecakes are also available now at Bergdorf Goodman Cafe.
In May 2011, we kicked off a partnership with Lauren Bush's FEED Projects to raise money for the crisis in Japan and fight hunger, raising enough
money so far to provide over 10,000 meals to feed hungry children around the world. Our work has been featured in the NY Times, Vogue, and Vanity Fair.
Our store has also been featured in photo shoots; films; and advertising campaigns for GAP, Oprah Network, and Marie Claire China.

We hope to see you soon at one of our shops and the many more to come!

Green Architectural Design
Our goal is to create a new business model that works for people and planet.

Each Little Cupcake Bakeshop institutes energy efficient practices, appliances,
equipment and tools, including an 18 Seer HVAC unit,Energy Star equipment,
Low Emissions windows, LED and CFL lighting, motion sensors, denim insulation
in our walls and thermal control monitors.

Salvaged materials and fixtures, recycled sheet rock, FSC certified wood,
eco grout, sealants, zero VOC paints are part of our construction.

Each store is powered by ConEd Solutions 100% wind power.

Our cleaning solutions are toxic free and packaging is made from corn or recycled
mulch and is 100% biodegradable.

We predominantly source our everyday ingredients from local farms in New Jersey,
Hudson Valley, Catskills, Pennsylvania and Vermont. Waste reduction practices
throughout our operation achieve the highest possible results.
